ABOUT
The mission of Brasstown Books is publishing
positive and uplifting fiction and nonfiction about the American South,
written by author Connie Chastain. While not precisely categorized
as Christian fiction, our stories are written from a Christian worldview
and feature traditional values and positive role models.
WHAT'S NEW
Exciting plans for the future taking
shape here at Brasstown Books.
Two new short-story series are in the
works, with the first story already published. See our CATALOG
for more information about A Family At Last.
In this era of abbreviated Facebook notes
and 140-character tweets, short reads fit right in. The digital age
-- the era of POD and Amazon/Kindle and other E-book formats -- means that
magazines aren't the only market for short fiction anymore.

Our two short-story series, Jiffy
Reads and Short & Sweet Romance, will feature
general fiction and romance stories under 2,500 words. Look for our
short-fiction logos on the covers of our upcoming stories.
IN THE WORKS
Plans for 2012 include publication of
Sweet
Southern Boys, the sequel to Southern Man, along with Love
in Smallfoot Alley, a romantic suspense , and possibly two works of
nonfiction of interest to the proSouthern community. |

NOTE
Change of mission. Due
to the state of the book publishing industry brought on by the digital/e-book
revolution and the economic recession, the mission of Brasstown Books
has changed. As of October 24, 2011, we are no longer open for submissions; we publish only fiction and
nonfiction written by author Connie Chastain.
With the advent of our
sister company, Word Slinger Boutique, authors wishing to self-publish
have at their disposal many services of a publishing house -- manuscript
evaluation, editing, book cover design, typesetting for print and formatting
for e-books -- and more. We invite you to visit the website:
